Creating a new story

After a break of more than half a year I am again creating new stories in my studio.

The current story is about Audrey and her husband David: he brings her to a Club where he wants them to become members, because there are a few very influential people in that Club. 

I shot now pictures for 2 days.

And I noted that I can produce about 20 pictures with captions, text and callouts within 6 hours. This gives me now a time estimate for future projects.

This one so far is facing several technical difficulties:

• the head attachment of the guys is not functioning properly, the heads bounce around and often fall off. I will need to use BlueTac to keep them in place.
• The shoes on the girls' feet keep bouncing off. The feet are quite large, and even though I am already using the most relaxed shoes, they still often fall off or are even bounced off from the rubber feet.
• Neither of the dolls can stand alone. I try to put two dolls together which hold each other, giving stability. But they often fall. It took a while until I got a few shots of the standing dolls. Even more difficult are larger groups: I got one with 5 figures leaning on each other, and one of them leaning at the wall.

So far 42 pictures. And I hope I can produce more.

This is the studio setup, with the group of 5 figures standing while supporting each other. So far this is standing for 8 hours without falling.

Problems with Video Creation

Here is some information about my experience with various video making tools that I have recently used.

Google Photos

Within Google Photos, short and simple videos can be created in a very simple way: just select up to 50 images, and Google Photos merges them into a video. One can arbitrarily select for each picture how long it should stay. No explicit duration can be selected, nor can be any transition be chosen. Royalty-free Music is automatically added by Google Photos.

Adobe Premiere Elements 12

This is an ancient software - I got it, I think in 2012. Paid. It still works fine, but is not very well compatible with Windows 10: the high-res screen GUI resolution is translated into tiny fonts, as there is no Windows-controlled scaling of the GUI. But it works ok and has great professional features: several video tracks and audio tracks, good transition features, fading in/out. 

Disadvantage: it cannot have arbitrary video sizes, e.g. no portrait. There are many fixed size templates with various resolutions and compression, but it is not straightforward to choose the one that would fit best. And there are no recent video Codecs.

Microsoft Movie Maker

That was a good program once - have used it in the past for several little video projects. But when trying to add a series of about 150 3000x4000 pictures, the encoding crept out: stood steady at 2%. Wheel rolling, but no action. Also accidentally clicking on something caused the app to halt. Something is not OK with this software.

I upgraded to PRO, because the standard version allows no saving of projects, only saving of video. But the same problem occurred with that PRO version.

And no further progress.... had to abort and close the app.

Microsoft Video Editor

In Windows 10 hidden is a tool simply called "Video Editor". Simple to use, not many options. No transition between photos. But at least it worked and did not crash after importing the same 150 images as I had tried with the MovieMaker. Duration of each image could be set. Background music could be selected from a range of pre-recorded royalty-free pieces. Not great, but can be used for simple videos.

I also downloaded "ClipChamp" which was recommended when I started the "Video Editor". Have not yet tried it, but looks simple and contemporary.

The OneSixthual Metaverse: DeviantArt, Twitter, Blogger, Google Photos, Google Sites

Initially I have used this blog for all kinds of info related to "OneSixthuals". I also had a few photo stories here. But in recent months I have trimmed this blog site. It is now aimed at only providing general information about OneSixthuals. 

I hope that this blog site will develop further, depending on my activities. But I have only a limited time which I can devote to this, so I am looking for most efficient ways how to use this time.

Here is how I now structure my activities across the various sites:

1. DeviantArt. https://www.deviantart.com/onesixthuals . This is currently my main outlet, where I post images frequently. It goes very convenient from my mobile phone, from sharing pics within the Google Photos app. There are also quite friendly people there, other artists who sometimes post comments in a good-natured way.
2. Twitter. https://twitter.com/onesixthuals . This is the second outlet. Also works well directly from within Google Photos on my mobile phone. Twitter is very permissive regarding NSFW imagery. I can post here things which I cannot post on DeviantArt. Also I can post simultaneously up to 4 pictures in a single tweet, without loss of quality.
3. This blog will provide (hopefully) up-to-date infos and announcements to everyone across the web. No account needed, just read the blog post. I hope to be able to inform about new interesting developments. Some things here are also kind of a reference to sites, procedures, ideas.
4. The official OneSixthuals web site. https://www.onesixthuals.com/ .  This is used as the overall reference site, with links to books, publications, and back stories. Will also have more detailed and longer-lasting info about certain works and products that have been created.

The following sites I may abandon, because I have no time to keep several sites afloat:

1. Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/onesixthuals . Patreon is actually a great outlet for all kinds of adult digital things. Is the standard for much of the 3D art world. But I have not seen any comment yet, and there seems to be no "community" of sorts. I do have one patron tier there at $1/month, "See all dolls in full nudity", but no patrons have yet taken it. There is a $1 payout fee for paypal payouts. I just have noticed that in the past 2 days 2 pics have automatically been uploaded to PAtreon from DeviantArt. Not sure how this happened... I was not aware of it. Is fine with me - the more the merrier.
2.  SubscribeStar. https://subscribestar.adult/onesixthuals . A nice site with good support for adult things. But same story as with Patreon: very few views, no likes, no comments. I also have a $1/month tier there, but no takers. Therefore, I will keep this alive but not post anything there. Is  not worth the effort.

Video: Female Pianist plays the Piano

With Adobe Elements 12 (an ancient software which still works OK) I have created a video with one of my dolls, Audrey, playing the piano. This was inspired by one of the stories on DeviantArt, for which I will create a longer photo series. 

The music for this is my own composition resp. improvisation which I recorded on the piano. Sounds somewhat better than those royalty-free background elevator music scores...

A few days ago I accepted the offer from DeviantArt for one year Core membership at $20. 

This seems to me a fair deal.

It gives me the following options which I find useful:

1. Being able to charge for access to a special tier. 
2. Being able to upload videos, e.g. MP4 and other formats.
3. Having sub-galleries within galleries, although those are limited (no text description is possible in sub-galleries),

I have already made use of those features:

1. I did establish a "Strictly Adult Dolls" tier, in which I am now able to offer more explicit pictures and videos that was possible before at the free access.
2. I have created and uploaded a few videos with my dolls. Some have been created directly within Google Photos, but of course the free sound track is mediocre and limited.
3. I have begun to create one gallery just for info about the dolls.

Further Changes on OneSixthuals Homepage

The job is never done... I did a few more changes at my homepage:

2. I revised the page with all the photo stories and published eBooks. Did some experiments with sharing a Google Doc file, but that was not very appealing. Also tried to enter some custom HTML to add a real table (Google Sites does not have tables), but that was annoying to handle with image links. 3. I have removed the photostories which were directly hosted on this site. I did this so that I have more control over the adult content and the access to it.

About Nude Photography - by Alexander Spoerl

There is an interesting book, published in 1958: Alexander Spoerl, "Mit der Kamera auf Du". It describes many aspects of photography, and there is a small section on "Aktaufnahme" = nude photography. In only is a few pages long, pp 194-197.

I am translating here this section, as it is somewhat relevant to the pictures I am making here.

NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY

There is never a compelling reason for it. But when being asked, then she is not a bad woman, but one who likes herself. And that is her right. The danger of nude photography is that we also like her. For the healthy man [this is from 1958; in our times now one might change this into: "For a hetero-man or a lesbian woman"]the nude female body is even then not without charm when would be something wrong with it. A cavalier has not to say anything about that. But a cavalier also does not always press the trigger. But despite pressing the trigger, one can still be a cavalier. Because one shall always then take a picture, when one thinks that the motive is beautiful.

The camera is cruel. A woman should think about it a hundred times. The lens changes beauty spots into displaced spots, changes female breasts into lumps of meat, changes the female bottom into a butt. Knees are bulging, and nicely shaped thighs turn into sabres. - With a nude woman our view becomes clouded. We are no longer composing with the camera, but aim.

A photographed nude is indeed not a nude photograph.

And a nude man is not necessarily a study.

But there is no reason to walk away with the camera from a nude human. - But one does not undress a human to photograph him/her, but one photographs him/her despite (s)he being undressed. When  a human is undressed, there is a reason for it. Either changing clothes. That can be photographically attractive. Or (s)he takes a bath, then there is an even better motive. Or (s)he breathes fresh air, then one needs to see this in the face. In any case one needs to see on the picture why the pictured person is so completely nude.

For example, a nude girl in front of a buffet has no reason for being nude. It may happen, but is not believable. 

A nude man on a bicycle may happen, but it looks unnatural. 

Two node people form a "composition". If they are of opposite gender [This is from 1958. In today's world one would write "If they are attracted to each other"], then this may even be a "scene". - With a composition, it is important how beautiful it is. With a scene it is important that is states something. Photographed indecency is not a scene but is smut.

The safest nude picture the one which is not made.

The best nude picture is the one which is made despite this.

Publishing at Smashwords

From a list of rankings of ebook publishers for adult content (https://medium.com/) I found the publisher Smashwords.

The signing-up and publishing went very easy. They serve several retailers, also Kobo - so I have to see what I will do with my already existing book there.

The site works very professionally: it creates several versions of ebook formats: PDF, Kindle (.mobi), Plain txt, Palm Doc, epub, Sony reader LRF, and online html. All other previous publishers only created epub - which is probably the most useful format anyway.

Interesting that Smashwords needs the file in .doc, not in .docx. So I had to do one additional conversion step myself.

Interesting is also that they ask for some specific information about erotica content - they do not state that they will reject it, but they will apparently take care of this with several of their retailers.

One issue was flagged by the Autovetter: I do have an auto-generated  table-of-content (TOC) in my manuscript: one of the generated epub from the previous publishers did not have an auto-generated TOC, so I used Google Docs to auto-create the TOC. Seemed to be OK for Lulu, for Kobo, and for Amazon Kindle. But Smashword tagged this as a "potential issue".

I decided not to fix this issue.

The standard Epubcheck by Smashwords was passed.

Before it can go into the premium catalog, I need to make changes: remove the TOC.

--- did remove the TOC, saved it. 

New problem: the file is larger than 15 MB. Limit of a re-uploaded doc is 15MB. Annoying! This is of course because I do have many pictures in the file...

Did not have that problem when uploading it for the first time - there was no size limit!

- after uploading an older version of 1st edition (I am not sure what the difference is... looked the same, 139 pics) I got  below the 15MB size limit.

Now this is all done also in the premium section of Smashwords. 

I did leave my other Kobo instance. It has a different eISBN anyway. So there will just be two different publishers then on all the KOBO controlled retailers..

More publishing: Amazon Kindle and Kobo

I did submit "Cynthia's Wedding Night" also to Amazon Kindle and to Kobo. Went very straight forward for both publishers.

On Kobo there was no category "Erotica"... only "Romance".

Both publishers will do a review. Possibly my book will get rejected, because its "explicit" pictures. They will get back latest in 72 hours.

I also tried Barnes & Noble, but for signing up one needs a US mobile telephone number... 

 

No more news from Lot's Cave. Their latest blog entry is from sometime in 2019. Maybe they are dead? I got automated confirmation emails, and the site has lots of books on offer. But some site aspects are still "under construction"...  

eBook also submitted to LotsCave

The site Lot's Cave is offering to publish ebooks with adult and erotic content. They appear to go further than other publishers in what they accept.

But their setup is a bit "old-fashioned": there is no immediate or direct automated process of publishing, but it appears that someone has to read the submission and judge if it can go ahead. 

The look-and-feel of the site is also not quite up to modern design. But to me it does not matter - as long as it works OK.

They appear also to offer regular distributors (like Amazon), in contrast to Lulu who does not support those for sexually explicit materials.

I did submit "Cynthia's Wedding Night" yesterday night - have not heard back from them.

It was rejected for global distribution (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and others), probably because of the explicit material. Of course this rejection only came after I paid the one-time €5 fee... quite a rip-off and certainly one way of how to make money, LULU ...

• TBLeague S42. First with fitting head sculpt, but there was a problem: the "new" body had been used. Also the head sculpt I did not like. So I sent it back and ordered a S42A without the head sculpt.

These arrived quickly (Amazon Prime, within one day) and have been complementing my current group of girls. I already took pictures, posted on Flickr and on DeviantArt.

My plan: cartoons / visual stories as e-books

As already outlined in a post on 30 Jan (https://onesixthuals.blogspot.com/2022/01/idea-publishing-my-photo-stories-as.html) , I am preparing a few cartoon stories, with the visuals from these 1/6 dolls. I have already made a few pictures-onl stories, available in my galleries on DeviantArt https://www.deviantart.com/onesixthuals , and in the most recent ones I have added call-outs to create some context.

I find that with callouts it is much easier to follow the story than with text captions for each picture. Those captions feel like captions in a silent movie - need to read them, which distracts from viewing the movie, resp. the pictures.

There is a limitation on the image size for the free usage of this app: my pics are usually 1170 x 877 pixels, which may be a bit smallish... But for now and for sharing pictures on DeviantArt, this size is good enough. 

For publishing e-books with "advanced mature" materials, there are unfortunately not many options, because many e-publishers limit the kind of content which can be published. For example, Lulu has recently updated their guidelines and policies on "indecent" material. Seems there is no place for adding stories about BDSM and rape...

But first I need to get the tools for creating an ebook.

I found that Google Docs provides the option to export as an e-book. This might be a good way of creating properly formatted ebooks. Images can be directly imported from Google Photos, which is also a benefit.

I created a few story outlines on Google Keep. All these Google apps allow me to work with synced content on my PC and on my phone, which is clearly a big advantage.

I will try and will report on my progress in the future. 

Changes at Flickr - Limitations of adult pics

 Since 1 May free Flickr accounts (like mine) have restrictions on "adult pictures". I have therefore made all my adult pics "private". This will result in some of the earlier pages and several of my postings in forums and groups no longer working... :(  I am too lazy to go now into each and every site to correct this. 

In the future I need to find another way of posting and sharing pictures. The most liberal one will be here on this blog, where I have the full freedom of posting whatever I want. But this blog structure makes it difficult to arrange items, stories, pictures systematically... therefore I prefer to use this blog for writing some musings, for announcements, for anything that makes sense in terms of timeline, instead of using it as a venue for posting stories and pictures.

My website may be a good venue, but it is quite labor-intensive to keep it up to date...

In any case: this post is just to alert you that my public pictures on Flickr are now only with non-mature content.

After a pause ...

The war in Ukraine has put a bit of a damper on my activities. The cruelty of Russia and its forces has stopped me in my tracks - I was no longer able (mentally) to produce those wonderful sex scenes with my dolls. Especially after the uncovering of the sexual cruelties of those assholes, for example in Butcha, it seemed not appropriate to enjoy violence phantasies with those 1/6 dolls.

Now we have gotten used to the war. Ukraine is doing quite well, and I hope that Russia's downfall is coming. That arrogant country needs to be shown its limits. Its must be disabled from any further and future annexations, aggressions, meddling in world affairs to its advantage, as Russia resp. the former Soviet Union has done for all the decades since 1945. Russia must and will be defeated. In an ideal world it would be occupied by the West and put under UN administration, to ensure that from this country never again any war would start. But I am just dreaming...

In any case, the 1/6 dolls are back.

Overdue introduction: Chu Hua

Not sure why I forgot to introduce her ... I got the head sculpt a few weeks ago, which was labelled as "Yang Mi". But I gave her now the name: Chu Hua. It means Chrysanthemum, and it seems to fit well.

She has a more mature look than my other heads, but I find this look very sexy. 

Copyright and Trademarks

I have not paid much attention to copyright and trademark, but when I want to do this publishing of image series / photo stories seriously, then I need to be aware of this.

For example, I should probably rename the Harry Potter characters to something else. The dolls I cannot change, they look how they look, close to the originals. But their names should probably be different. I need to come up with some other names.

Also my Chinese face doll Yang Mi should be renamed. The head sculpt anyway has only a superficial resemblance to the real Chinese actress: the real actress looks younger. My doll head sculpt looks more mature. I will have to come up with a fitting name... Must not necessarily be Chinese, because the face of this doll face looks somewhat generic. Could be anyone.

Problem is: I do not ha e much phantasy and imagination regarding naming people....

Overdue introduction: Audrey

Already a month ago I got this head which was announced on AliExpress as "Audrey Hepburn". Looked very elegant on the picture. But when the head arrived, it looked somewhat different. Not at all like Andrey Hepburn.

And I am actually glad about this Do not want to drag Audrey Hepburn down into the sexual dungeon...

The head is very elegant, has built-in ear rings which is nice. Looks like a woman in her late-30s / early 40s. Pale, fits well to the TBLeague S38A body. But that body is a bit heavy and short... she needs something more elegant. But the small bodies such as a S34A was too slim for her...she needs a body with some substance.

 

Idea: publishing my photo stories as cartoons? eBooks?

When browsing though some of the art offered on DeviantArt, I noticed that someone sells their 3G CG stories as eBooks, for $14 a piece. 

I realized that I could to this as well! Using my ideas for sexy stories and then putting them into actual print resp. visual photo cartoons. Will think about this....

Photo stories with callouts: PiZap

Initially I wrote the lines which the figures in my pictures are saying, underneath in the captions. But that is annoying - one has to read the text while looking at the picture. 

A much better way would be to add callout balloons directly into the pictures, like in a real cartoon.

And so I have begun to do this. I am using this free online software: PiZap . In order to work with this, I have to download my pictures from Google Photos to my PC, then upload them to PiZap. There I can add callouts. Then I save the pictures again on my PC. but only in a limited size of about 800 x 1140 pixels. If I would pay $4.99 per month, I would get 4k size and no adds. But this would mean a fixed financial commitment of $60 per year. Seems expensive for just adding callouts... so I will continue using the free version as long as this is feasible.

My activities on DeviantArt

In recent weeks I have posted many pictures and photo series on the site DeviantArt . This is a site dedicated to the creation of "art" of all kinds: 3D graphics, photography. There is a lot of nudity and porn, but the do have some limiting rules. There is, for example, no explicit sex depiction allowed - although there is some of it there.

I have begun to post picture series and photo stories there, limited to non-explicit content.

Maybe the explicit stuff I will post later on Patreon or SubscribeStar.

The other artists on DeviantArt are welcoming and friendly. Some engage in positive conversations. Looks like a nice site for posting my adult "sixthual" pics. 

Two Auctions on eBay: S34A and "Blondie"

Recently I got two new bodies from TBLeague: S34A (pale) and S35A (suntan). I am not too thrilled about the quality of those: They appear to be somewhat "flimsy". Nice shape, narrow, slim, elegant. But the slim-ness seems to have a negative effect on the skeleton stability. 

In any case, the suntan version S35A fits very well to my heads, in particular to the one of Yang Mi.

But I could not find a use of the pale version S34A: its paleness is different from my S38A. The S34A is more pinkish than pale. None of my heads fits well. So I decided to sell it on eBay.

When I took the first pictures of her face, I seemed to have trouble: no matter from what angle I took the shots, her facial expression seemed somewhat uncanny. Almost like a man's face. And somewhat with a mean expression. Not sure if this is only me...

Well, I am slowly getting used to her...

New doll head: meet Amy

I decided that in my collection there should also a head with short hair. And when I saw the head of Amy on AliExpress, I knew that I need to add her to my collection. There are not many heads with short hair which I like - usually I prefer the long wavy hair which gets messy and in her face. But at least once I should also enjoy the pleasures of short hair, which does not obstruct the face or gets all over the place.

To me she just looks like she would be called Amy. So that is her name from now on.

I do think that she fits very well with the TBLeague S38A body (pale). The taint and complexion matches, and also the overall proportions (sumptuous body) fit well to her face with the short hair.

One thing I noticed: the camera does not seem to correctly focus on her face. Usually the camera picks out a face and then auto-focusses on that. With Miss Spetsnaz the focus seems slightly off...  no matter how I position the camera. Well, maybe I am just imagining this...

I find that the JIAOU JOQ-07F-BS body goes very well with her taint and her overall shape. So I will have to find another body for Laura then...

Here is Miss Spetsnaz in a Barbie outfit. It does actually not fit in the back - the top needed an additional Velcro piece, because the bust (size F) is just too large. So she just wont't turn around.
